ARCTIC UMIAQ LINE

Our Pledge Towards Better Tourism_6

Arctic Umiaq Line is a Greenlandic passenger and freight shipping company. It was founded in 1774 under the name “Den Kongelige Grønlandske Handel” (The Royal Greenland Trading Company).

The company is now a subsidiary of Air Greenland and Royal Arctic Line. Its routes link the central parts of Greenland along the western and southwest coastlines.

The coastal ship Sarfaq Ittuk sails from southern Greenland up along Greenland’s west coast to Disko Bay and back again, calling in at most of the coastal towns.

You can book tickets online. The website also provides information on times and departures.
