Dan Schou (Senior Manager, Wonderful Copenhagen)
Since 2014, Dan has worked with destination marketing for Copenhagen, developing and innovating VisitCopenhagen’s presence on web and social platforms like Weibo, WeChat, and WeChat Mini-Program. Born to Chinese and Danish parents, Dan spent his childhood in Denmark, primary and secondary school years in Beijing, and the past decade back in Copenhagen. With strong understanding of both Chinese and Danish culture, fluency in both languages, combined with his communication and urban studies background, Dan works closely with WoCo’s Communication team to create relevant and inspiring content to promote Copenhagen to the Chinese audience, while building tools (city maps, guides, travel-app) for the Chinese travelers who has found their way to Denmark.
Joe Chan (Marketing Manager, Polar Club 66)
Since 2017, Polar Club 66 has been the representative agency of Greenland Travel for China, helping Greenland Travel and Greenland partners to penetrate into the China market. Born and raised in HK, Joe got his undergraduate degree in electronic engineering and minor in modern Chinese history in 1997. When attending University, Joe showed strong interest in the Arctic and traveled to Greenland for the first time in 2004, visiting Kulusuk and Tasiilaq. Since then, Joe has visited Greenland over 30 times. In 2015, Joe decided to quit his engineering job and dedicate himself to Greenland tourism. In 2020, Joe completed a North to South trip of Greenland from Siorapaluk to Nanortalik. With understanding of both Greenland, Western and Chinese culture, Joe is ready to work with Greenland suppliers to serve Chinese tourists while promoting Greenland as a premier tourist destination to the Chinese.
