Visit Greenland CEO steps down

Mar 6, 2026

We hereby announce that Visit Greenland’s CEO, Anne Nivíka Grødem, has chosen to pursue new opportunities and will step down from her position at the end of May.

Anne Nivíka has been part of Visit Greenland for five years. First as Vice Chair of the Board, and from 2022 in the position of CEO. During her time with the organisation, she has made a clear and lasting impact—both through internal development and by strengthening Visit Greenland’s role in advancing tourism, internationally as well as nationally.

Anne Nivíka consolidated the organisation in Greenland, strengthening its national identity and creating a clearer shared direction. She has been a driving force in a major transformation process, strengthening organisational cohesion and day-to-day operations.

The Board would like to thank Anne Nivíka Grødem for a strong and trusting collaboration and for her great dedication to Visit Greenland’s work. Through clear leadership, high professionalism, and a consistent focus on direction and alignment, she has contributed significantly to the organisation’s development. The Board wishes Anne Nivíka every success in her future endeavours.

The Board’s clear intention is to secure a long-term and sustainable solution for Visit Greenland. A recruitment process for a new CEO will be initiated as soon as possible, with the aim of ensuring stable and long-term leadership.

During this transitional period, the Board is grateful that Linda Kleist, currently Head of Destination Development & Cruise, has agreed to step in as Acting CEO. Linda has been employed at Visit Greenland for three years and holds both a tourism and leadership qualifications. She also has experience as a regional destination manager. As Acting CEO, she will ensure momentum in the organisation’s work and ongoing initiatives while a permanent and long-term solution is found.

On behalf of the Board of Visit Greenland,

Chair of the Board, Anette Lings
