Sisimiut is Greenland’s second-biggest town. It has 5,600 inhabitants and lies just 200 km north of the Arctic Circle – or a 20-minute flight from Kangerlussuaq. Hotel Sisimiut is centrally situated in the town and has 4-star conference facilities and can cater for groups of between 4 and 50 people at meetings, conferences and events. In the event of larger groups, Hotel Sisimiut collaborates with the cultural centre at Taseralik, which has room for 60 people in its conference hall and 250 seats in the concert hall.
There are plenty of activities and attractions in Sisimiut and the surrounding area – during both the summer and the winter months. The winter is great for trips by snowmobile, dogsled trips and the Northern Lights, whilst during the summer you can sail in the surrounding fjords and visit dwellers in the settlements in the light of the midnight sun. The fells can be enjoyed whatever the season, regardless of whether you just wish to enjoy the sight of the beautiful landscape or are looking to be more active on a hike in the fells.
Hotel Sisimiut is a charming, family-run hotel that places great importance on serving food of the highest quality based on good local ingredients, and has staff that will do their utmost to ensure that their guests have a good time. You’re always made to feel welcome in Sisimiut – not just at the hotel, but also if you go for a walk through the charming little town.
