Safari

Our Safari Camp is equipped with robust Finnish Savotta tents. Winter tents are extra insulated and are heated. During our summer photo safari we use powerboats to get far into the arctic wilderness. We trek on foot in the mountain and the tundra. We trek close to muskox, caribou, polar hare and polar fox, with fantastic photo opportunities.

On the winter safari we use snowmobiles and ATVs to get into the Arctic wilderness. Our guides will do the there best to make your safari a success and will contribute with information and knowledge of the Arctic nature. Our safari areas have the strongest muskox and caribou population in Greenland and we will get close to the animals with great opportunities for amazing pictures.

EXPEDITIONS

North Safari Travel offers a winter snowmobile expedition into the wild arctic, where we also visit, Sisimiut, Greenland’s second largest city. On strong snowmobiles we cross frozen fjords, lakes and rivers. We will climb mountains on snowmobiles and ride trough the arctic tundra and overnight in mountain huts on the way to Sisimiut.

During the summer, North Safari Travel offers MOPA expeditions where we use the specially built legendary MOPA expedition powerboats exploring the 170 km long Kangerlussuaq fjord. We will fish for cod, arctic char and halibut on the expedition. During the trip we will camp by the coast or sleep in the boats.
