Sisimiut is located 30 miles from the Polar Circle and with its 5.600 inhabitants it is the second largest town in Greenland.
The characteristic blue church from 1775 is one of the town’s main attractions.
The mountain ”Kællingehætten” with the recognizable, round peak, is the towns trademark. With its 784 meters it is the highest mountain to be seen from Sisimiut.
The Seman’s Home is located close to the harbor and with a view to the museum and the old blue church.
Our 32 rooms are classified with 3 stars and all rooms are renovated and well kept. There are satellite TV in all rooms.
The newly renovated conference facilities are classified with 3 stars and host up to 30 people. We have all the newest IT-equipment installed. We wish to welcome everyone and will do our best to ensure a good stay at the Seamen’s Home in Sisimiut.
There are many activities during summer and winter in Sisimiut.
In wintertime you can go on a dog sledding trip or snow mobile. In the evenings you can often see the northern light. In summertime you can go trips by boat, bike tours or walking in the surrounding mountains.
