The film was produced by Visit Greenland, and aims to celebrate the diversity in our country and at the same time highlight the importance of sustainable and responsible tourism development.
Greenland is a unique place where traditional considerations about sustainable tourism must occasionally be turned upside down. With large distances and a lack of road connections in most of the country, a different approach is required to ensure sustainable tourism.
At the same time, it is important for us to take into account the well-being and well-being of the local community. We believe that a good place to live is also a good place to visit.
We are grateful to be able to share our message of responsible and sustainable tourism development at this prestigious festival and be featured among the best “green” films from around the world.
Being nominated for this award is a great recognition of Visit Greenland’s competencies, and not least Greenland as a destination.
I would like to send a special thank you to our dedicated team at Visit Greenland. Their work and commitment have made it possible for us to create a film that goes straight to the heart nationally and internationally.
We will continue to work on promoting sustainable tourism in Greenland and find new innovative ways to convey our message. This award is a strong motivation for us to continue our efforts to put Greenland on the world map as an internationally recognized adventure destination.
Thank you to the Deauville Green Awards for this recognition, to all our partners throughout the country, and not least to the adventurous visitors who help make Greenland a sustainable destination.
This award belongs to all of Greenland.
